On April 27, 2006 the Bank joined the Association of the Banks of the North-West (ABNW). Being a member of the Association, BFA Bank regularly participates in ANWB events, which address the burning issues of the banking community and inform the public about the state of the banking market.
The Association of North-West Banks incorporates the banks, non-banking lending agencies and other organizations, whose activities are related to the performance of the Russian Federation’s monetary system. The association was founded on December, 19, 1989 as the Association of Saint-Petersburg Commercial Banks (ACB). In July 2001, the ACB was transformed into the Association of North-West Banks. Currently, the Association unites 95 organizations and conducts its activities in the North-West of Russia, establishing business contacts with Russian and foreign governmental, public and commercial institutions, as well as with the citizens of Russia and foreign countries, and partaking in joint activities by cooperating with the international and regional banking associations.
