BFA Bank took an active part in the XX International Banking Congress (IBC-2011), which took place from May 25 to May 28, 2011 in St. Petersburg. The Congress was organized by the Russian Central Bank and the St. Petersburg City Administration.
This year’s Congress focused on “Banks: Modernization, Innovation, Investments.” Representatives of the Federation Council, the State Duma, the Russian Government, the Bank of Russia, international financial institutes, Russian and foreign banks, auditing companies, and banking associations took part in the work of IBC-2011.
Questions of modernizing the Russian banking system, the role of banks in forming an innovation economy and taking part in investment projects, risk management, applying new technologies in the banking business, and current aspects of bank regulation and supervision were discussed during the plenary sessions and work sections.
Dmitry Saberzyanov, Vice-President of BFA Bank, took part in the discussion section “The Banking Sector and Modernization of the Economy" and gave a presentation on the topic “The Financial and Real Sectors: Problems of Interaction.”
